|
Have a job interview coming up? Here are The Eight Worst Questions to Ask What not to ask: "What's your policy on Columbus Day?" What to say instead: how many holidays do we get off, I get burnt out if I'm stuck in an office too long Don't ask: "What kind of daycare program or family care programs do you offer?" Instead: can I bring my kid to work sometimes? He's really good about taking his Ritalin and I have one of those harness things if he goes crazy. What not to ask: "Will I have to work overtime?" Instead: I better not have to work late, I meet the boys at the southern Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 for drinks What not to ask: "Why do you think I'd be a good fit for the company?" What to say instead: are there any hot babes that work here who like to party? What not to ask: "So, Bob, what do you have to do to get your position?" Instead say: “so who do I have to blow to get your gig?” What not to ask: "The job sounds pretty cool. Why did the last person leave?" Instead say: “how did the last guy get canned? Did he nail the bosses wife or something?” What not to ask: "I really hated my last boss because he was always micromanaging. How does management work here?" What to say instead: “don't piss me off, I have an impressive gun collection” What not to ask: "Can I use your phone? I need to call my ride." What to say instead: “ can you give me a ride home, and can we stop by the sev for some smokes and a sixer of natty's?” |
